Salumificio Mena has been dealing with the production of typical Calabrian cured meats for three generations in compliance with the most ancient traditions.

The history of Salumificio Mena begins in the 1960s when grandfather Giuseppe Serra together with his son Giuseppe founded one of the first cured meats in Calabria, Salumificio Mena, starting in a small laboratory in the heart of Nicastro to produce the first cured meats following the ancient recipes handed down from generation to generation.

In the wake of this tradition, Giuseppe Serra together with his sons Fernando, Vincenzo, Sergio and Oscar continue the work undertaken by their grandfather and following his precious teachings.

The choice and careful checks of the meats, the careful processing using highly qualified personnel, the delicate balance of natural aromas mixed with the pepper preserve, a slow seasoning, give the products those organoleptic characteristics of quality, recognition attributed by all specialized customers such as delicatessens and delicatessens.

The company adopts the self-control plan according to HACCP principles (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points). Furthermore, to integrate the controls in the production process, the company carries out, using highly qualified laboratories, chemical-physical and micro-biological sample analyzes on the products.
