From the ancient liqueur-making tradition of the Florentine monks who settled in the year one thousand in San Giovanni in Fiore and through the use of Silane herbs, the Amaro dell'Abate was born, ideal to drink at the end of a meal, excellent in accompanying traditional desserts.
Bond with the territory Sila in its woods and clearings is rich in aromatic essences with an inebriating scent and multiple healing properties. The custom of collecting herbs to obtain digestive liqueurs was born in monasteries and abbeys thanks to herbalist monks who had a profound knowledge of plants and had discovered all their virtues.
Amaro, which is obtained by maceration in distilled water and pure alcohol, is composed of a miscellany of bitter and aromatic herbs, the recipe of which is kept strictly secret.
